My name is Christopher G Wade, I am originally from Durham North East of England, I have now settled in South Yorkshire. I married my wife Jo in San Diego USA, it was fantastic. We have 2 girls, Sarah and Lucy. I play the Piano and once tried to write songs, as a family we have had many holidays to Florida USA, mainly to Disneyworld.

I work as a Digital Artist, mainly producing Real-Time walkthrough scenarios for Architects, other aspects of my main work is to create photo realistic renderings of camera matched architectural stills.
Most of the work I produce is aimed at the development of designs in order to help architects communicate their schemes to everyone. This spans into several areas, for example Marketing of Developments or for Planning Applications of sites etc.

Prior to working as a 3D artist, I used to be a Draughtsman and I studied Spatial Design ( the study of architecture and interior design ).
I soon realized I enjoyed producing the artist renderings of design, I moved away from the technical aspects of GA drawings, and more to the artistic elements. It was not long before I was able to find my own style of drawings which was a blend of draughtsman techniques and traditional drawing methods.
I setout my compositions using simple block shapes in order to get the angles and scale of the buildings. I then work out the spacing of details in each building, all this is done in pencil, and once the main drawing is complete I rework over the pencil with an architectural drafting pen. This gives me the very fine lines I wish to achieve.

I have taken on several commissions now of my technical line artwork, and each has been more and more of a challenge to complete, but this is when I am in my element.
This is what I enjoy about my Main Job and hobby, is that I get to explore both extremes of art, one of a technical nature in computers and the other back to basics.
I will over time be adding more and more drawings to my Gallery section. This is a hobby I enjoy very much, and I hope you enjoy my drawings too.
